RGNUL CAMPUS
The RGNUL is functioning from its new Campus situated at Sidhuwal,Bhadson road Patiala (Appx: 47.30 acres).Being a residential University, all the students reside in the hostels (separately made blocks of hostels for boys and girls). The University provides all the necessary facilities to the students at the campus, i.e., Health Centre, Bank, Post Office, Canteen and Cafeteria, Stationary and Book Shop, Laundering Service, Gymnasium and other sports facilities. Residential facility in the form of the Guest House, VIP guest house, twenty eight faculty houses, Thirty two non-teaching houses and sixteen houses for class IV employees are in full use.
Status of Construction Work
1. The following infrastructural works have been:
(1). Internal Roads, Footpaths and parking etc.
(2). Over Head Service Reservoir (OHSR) having capacity of 2 lac liter.
(3). Sewerage Treatment Plant having capacity of 200 KLD.
(4). Hostel Boys and Girls (06 no. for Boys &05 for Girls)with dining hallhas been completed.
(5). External works like Sewerage, Water Supply, Storm Water i/c Recharge Wells, Campus Lighting. Networking/IT, CCTV Cameras, Playgrounds and Sports Infrastructure, Wi-Fi System, Electrical Substations etc.
(6). Landscaping works and setting up of Nursery.
(7). Academic/Administrative Blocks.
(8). Guest House,VVIP Guest House and Students facility area.
(9). Library.
(10). Fully furnished Auditorium.
(11). Playgrounds.
(12). 30.50 mtr high National Flag.
(13). Residences:
(i) Type B Readers residences (04 Nos.)
(ii) Type C Faculty Houses (2 Blocks 12 No. each)
(iii). Type D Houses for Non-Teaching Staff (Two blocks of 16 Houses each)
(iv). Type E Houses for Class IV staff -One block of 16 Houses.
(v) Residence of Vice-Chancellor.
(14). As far as the future construction is concerned; the campus is expected to have one (1) Hostel for Girls; eight (8) Reader’s Residences; one (1) Faculty Club; six (6) Professors’ Residences, sixteen (16)Class IV Residences; Pavilion/Stadium; Laundry; and one Store for Nursery. Preliminary drawings for these buildings are being prepared by the consultant architect M/s Kothari Associates, New Delhi.
