A Library is a public institution charged with the care of, collection of books, the duty of making them accessible to those who require the use of them and the task of converting every person in its neighborhood into a habitual library reader of books.

A Library plays an important role in the field of education. Education and libraries are the two joint parts of body. One cannot be separated from the other. Library is charged with providing adequate reading material to users. The library organizes the reading materials so that it can be in systematic order for use. As we know libraries are spending institutions where the money spent on establishment and services can’t be measured in the form of profit

Thus a library is a place where books, periodicals, musical scores, manuscripts and other literary and artistic materials are collected, processed and kept in some convenient order for use by clientele and not for sale

The RGNUL came into existence in the month of June 2006. With in a short span, the University has established a well-resourced Library on the Campus.
