Ever since its establishment Rajiv Gandhi National
University of Law has steadily but surely achieved
success after success. The recognitions and awards
won by the students and faculty have clearly mapped
it on the national scene. It would be my endeavour
to lead the crusade further to ultimate academic
excellence. I envisage, to further improve and
promote high quality in academics and research so as
to meet the global standards; to develop prestigious
centre of learning and knowledge; to grow a
community of academicians who would contribute
substantially to society and play a distinctive role
in nation building.
As a
National Law University, RGNUL is committed to
provide a congenial environment for students to
learn both theory and practice of Law. It has opened
a window of opportunity for the young law aspirants.
The sole aim of the University is to be a premier
institution in the field of law by ensuring creative
teaching methodology in a pragmatic environment. The
teaching curriculum and methodology at the
University entails both intensive and extensive room
teaching and participative learning. Special
emphasis is laid on seminars, projects, moots,
workshops and guest lectures while teaching.
We
are equally devoted to the culture of equipping
young students to meet the contemporary challenges.
The faculty and the administration work in tandem to
achieve the objectives of imparting legal education
and ensuring the students are proficient enough to
put their theoretical knowledge to practice. The
young and experienced faculty at RGNUL with their
active enterprises ensures proactive involvement of
students. The infrastructure provided at the
University is to facilitate learning for all
students. The entire campus is wi-fi enabled,
including the hostels. A Library is heart of any
institution, and RGNUL has a very well-stocked
library of over 24,000 books. Presently, University
is functioning from the heritage building but very
soon a state of the art campus is coming up.
The
RGNUL has started its own Law Journal, RGNUL Law
Review, a research journal that aims at providing a
forum for sharing advanced research and scholarship.
It provides comprehensive coverage to some of the
important and contemporary legal issues agitating
the minds of jurists at the national and
international levels. The University has organized a
number of events, be it Moot Court Competitions,
Seminars, Conferences and Training Programmes in
which academicians, jurists, public servants,
scholars and students from all over the country
participated and were benefitted.
These
activities introduce our students to the frontiers
of knowledge and provide them with opportunities to
learn skills and discipline. We at Rajiv Gandhi
National University of Law are committed to provide
the students with excellent education and practical
training. To achieve this aim we continuously strive
to update our courses and syllabi, keeping in view
the changing needs of different professions,
industries and social landscape.
