DR. SHRUTI GOYAL
Associate Professor of Law
Dr. Shruti Goyal is an Associate Professor of Law at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab, Patiala. She has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students at this University since 2010. Dr. Goyal has a Junior Research Fellowship to her credit.
Dr. Goyal is a graduate from Panjab University, Chandigarh and did her masters from Kurukshetra University. She did her Ph.d. from Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law in 2016 on the topic “White Collar Crimes: An Analytical Study”. She is also a qualified Solicitor for the Society of England and Wales. She is also a life member of Indian Society of Criminology.
Dr. Goyal has more than 40 publications to her credit in the form of Research Papers, articles in journals and chapters in edited books. She has prepared MOOC’s for Postgraduate students which are hosted on e-PG Pathshala, a project of the Ministry of Human Resource and Development. She has completed a major research project on Human Rights granted by National Human Rights Commission. She has acted as a resource person and has chaired/co-chaired sessions at seminars and conferences organised at the international and national levels. Dr. Goyal has supervised around 20 students at the Masters' level and acted as project supervisor for more than 30 students at the undergraduate level. She has been invited to deliver guest lectures at numerous institutions and has delivered more than 40 guest lectures till date.
Dr. Shruti Goyal is the Executive Editor of Journal of Victimology and Victim Justice which is published by Sage Publishers, New Delhi. She plays an active role in championing the cause of victims as she is the Member of the District Legal Services Authority, Patiala. She is also invited as a member of the bench for National Lok Adalats.
Dr. Shruti Goyal has been acting as the Warden of the Girls' Hostels at the University. She is a member of the Centre for Criminology, Criminal Justice and Victimology instituted at RGNUL.
She has presented papers at International, National and Regional conferences and seminars. Dr. Goyal has organised and attended various training programmes/ workshops/ orientation programs and refresher courses.
