DR. BASANT SINGH
Assistant Professor of Law
Dr. Basant Singh is currently working as Assistant Professor of Law at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab. Prior to joining RGNUL, Dr. Basant Singh was a regular faculty at the School of law, LPU, Phagwara. He has been active member of various committees such as Academic Rules Committee, Library Committee, Cultural Committee, etc. He also Judged and mentored the students for various national moot court competitions. He has also taught as Guest Faculty at University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) Panjab University, Chandigarh. He has also worked as Assistant Public Prosecutor, Directorate of Prosecution Govt of NCT of Delhi. He did his graduation from Govt. Brijindra College, Faridkot. His LL.B. and LL.M. are from Punjabi University, Patiala he has done his Ph.D. from Punjabi University Patiala on the topic, “Law Relating To Role Of Armed Forces In Internal Security In India”, under the able guidance of Professor (Dr.) Gurpreet Pannu. He qualified UGC- NET/JRF and he has worked as Junior Research Fellow and Senior Research fellow in the Department of laws Punjabi University, Patiala. He has done PG Diploma in Forensic Science from Department of Forensic Science, Punjabi University Patiala.
