Dr. Ivneet Kaur Walia is presently working as Assistant Professor of Law at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab. She is B.A.LLB, LL.M (Gold Medalist), Ph.D., UGC (NET) and is currently pursuing her LL.D (Post Doctorate) at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab. She has also completed Post Graduate Diploma in Criminal Justice and Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights along with four certification courses from U.S. Institute of Peace, Washington, D.C and Basic Introductory course certification from WIPO. She was awarded the prestigious Henry Dunant Fellowship by the International Committee of Red Cross and has also earned Scholarship(s) to attend the United Nations Regional Course in International Law and a Course on Human Rights by the International Institute of Human Rights, France. She was also awarded the Surana and Surana Medal for Excellence.
She is also presently working as a Member of Centre for Criminology, Criminal Justice and Victimology and is also the Faculty Co-Cordinator for Centre for Advanced Studies in Criminal Law. Her areas of interest are Information Technology Laws, Artificial Intelligence, Forensic Science and Criminal Law. She has recently published a Book on ‘Crime, Punishment and Sentencing in India’ with Thomson Reuters. She has authored three more books pertaining to International Criminal Law. She has edited many books and published papers in various Journals of national/international repute. She has delivered guest lectures at different occasions and was also invited as a resource person for training the police officials at Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur. She has also judged various National and International Moot Court Competitions.
