DR. WAZIDA RAHMAN
Assistant Professor of Law
Dr. Wazida Rahman is working as an Assistant Professor of Law at the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab. She is one of the Teacher-in-Charge of the LL.M Course. Dr. Wazida is one of the Faculty Co-ordinator of Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR) and the Moot Court Committee of RGNUL.
Prior to joining RGNUL, she was engaged as Assistant Professor of Law at the J.B Law College, Gauhati University, Faculty at the Department of Business Administration, Gauhati University, and Teaching Assistant at the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam respectively. She is also working as Research Fellow (pro bono) at Bharat Centre of Canada, Toronto since 2020. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam in 2020.
She did her B.A.LL. B (Hons) from Aligarh Muslim University and LL.M from the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) Hyderabad. She also did a Master of Arts in Public Administration.
She has been awarded the prestigious Shastri Indo-Canadian Doctoral Fellowship for the year 2016-17. She worked as an International Independent Doctoral Researcher at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Toronto in 2017.
She has a teaching experience for almost seven years in Post Graduate and Graduate courses. Dr. Wazida has supervised around 10 students in LL.M dissertations. She did an Internship at the Supreme Court of India and also has one year of experience in advocacy.
She is an author of a book and has several publications on the national and international levels. She has attended numerous national and international seminars and conferences.
