Directorate of Distance Education (DODE) aims at imparting legal knowledge amongst learners from all over the country. DODE has been established specifically to put forward a functional response to universalize of legal profession. Degrees and Diplomas in fields like Consumer Protection Laws and Advocacy, Law and Medicine, Environmental Law and International Humanitarian Law, are proposed to be undertaken by the DODE. DODE shall operate through the most contemporary modes of teaching and learning. The students enrolled for a particular degree or diploma shall be provided with a detailed 'Study Material' related to the contents and this study material shall entail research based exploration of the themes concerned. The teaching and the learning techniques shall be formulated specifically taking into consideration the regional differences of the students getting enrolled from various states and nations. Special emphasizes shall be put on the pre-requisites like language, time duration and time management, postal obligations, response and assessment mechanisms, etc. etc. On the whole the main target of the DODE shall be to impart education transcending the regional and the national boundaries.
