DR. GURMANPREET KAUR
Associate Professor of Law and Associate Controller of Examination
Dr. Gurmanpreet Kaur is an Associate Professor of Law at the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab (RGNUL). Prior to this she had been working as Assistant Professor of Law at RGNUL since 2011. She pursued her B.A.LL.B. from Army Institute of Law, Mohali, and LL.M from Kurukshetra University and has done her PhD on the topic, “Legal Response to Nuclear Policy of India- A Critical Study” from Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab.
She has attended the Summer School on Transnational Law and Practice at School of Law, University of Washington, Seattle, Washington, USA. She has completed a Certificate Course in Occupational Health and Safety, University of Victoria, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
Presently at RGNUL, she is the Associate Controller of Examination, Member of Executive Council, Member of the Editorial Board of the RGNUL Law Review, Member, Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace Internal Complaints Committee, Member Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Member Curriculum Development Committee, Chair Coordinator- Dr. P.C. Markanda Chair on ADR and Coordinator of the Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution.
She has guided around 20 LLM students with their dissertation work. Presently she is supervising three students for Ph.D.
She has authored the following books- Nuclear Policy of India and Cyber Terrorism in India. She has to her credit various edited books on the themes pertaining to Women empowerment, Competition Law, Right to Information, Right to Service and Good Governance and Consumer Laws. She has authored more than 20 research papers in different journals. She has presented research papers in more than 30 national and international conferences. She is associated with different institutions of high repute as a resource person. She is associated with DTH No. 6 of Swayam Prabha (Sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Government of India) in the capacity of a Subject Matter Expert.
