Dr Kamaljit Kaur is an Professor at RGNUL, Patiala. She pursued her B.Sc. degree from St. Francis College, Hyderabad. She did her LLB and LLM from Panjab University, Chandigarh. She was awarded the Kartar Singh Chadha Gold Medal and University Medal for standing 1st in LLB in the year 1995. She was awarded a Scholarship from the Government of India under the National Scholarship Scheme by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development in the year 1995 for pursuing higher studies. She was awarded Scroll of Honor by the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana and International Council of Jurists on the occasion of the international Conference of Jurists for Judicial Reforms held on 13-14 march 2010. She was also awarded citation by Dr Ashok K Chauhan, Chairman, AKC group of companies, Founder President, Rithand Balved Education Foundation (Founder of Amity Institutions) at the plenary session of the 10th Indo-Pacific Congress on Legal and Forensic Science (inpalms 2010). She cleared UGC Net twice in 1997 and 1998 respectively. She has been awarded a PhD. degree specializing in Family Law on the topic “The Laws of Adoption: A Socio-Legal Critique with focus on the Child’s Interest.” She began her teaching career at Army Institute of Law, Mohali in 2001 and served at Army Institute of Law, Mohali till July 2017. She has presented numerous papers at National and International Seminars and Conferences and has 30 research paper publications to her credit.
She is Coordinator IQAC, Placements and Editor (RGNUL Law Review). She is a member of Centre for Constitutional Law and Governance (CCLG). She has successfully supervised 11 LLM dissertations and 2 PhD scholars. She has delivered expert lectures at Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur, Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla, and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Law University and others.
She teaches Family Law and Administrative Law.
